Ernst-Christoph Brühler

Ernst-Christoph Brühler (born February 12, 1891 in Mannheim ; † September 1, 1961 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German politician ( DNVP / DP ).

job

Brühler studied history , German and English at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and in 1909 became a member of the Vineta Heidelberg fraternity . He worked from 1919 to 1924 and from 1933 as a high school teacher in Freiburg and was meanwhile an editor for the Breisgauer Zeitung . In 1934 he also took over the management of the Protestant Pedagogical Academy . In 1943 he was briefly imprisoned. After the Second World War he was still active in the school service and was promoted to senior director in 1950.

Political party

During the Weimar Republic , Brühler belonged to the German National People's Party . In 1929 he was the top candidate in the Freiburg constituency list for the state parliament of the Republic of Baden , but missed the leap into parliament. From 1931 to 1933 he was a member of the state parliament.

After 1945 Brühler became a member of the German Party .

MP

Before 1933, Brühl was a city councilor in Freiburg im Breisgau . He belonged to the German Bundestag in its second legislative period (1953–1957) and was parliamentary group leader of the DP from 1955 to 1957 .
