Ernst-Peter Rabenhorst

Ernst-Peter Rabenhorst (born December 14, 1940 in Greifenberg ) is a former German diplomat . He was the GDR's ambassador to the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen .

Life

After attending high school and the completion of the baccalaureate studied Rabenhorst 1958-1963 Arabic at the Martin Luther University of Halle . He completed his studies with a degree in philosopher. From 1963 to 1969 he was a university professor and employee of the Ministry for Higher and Technical Education of the GDR. In 1970 he joined the diplomatic service of the GDR and worked at the GDR embassy in Baghdad until 1973 . He then worked in the International Relations Department in the SED Central Committee . From May 1978 to 1981 Rabenhorst was the GDR's ambassador in Aden . From 1981 he worked as a sector manager in the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the SED, most recently as deputy head of department.
