Ernst Josef Lauscher (also: Ernst J. Lauscher ; born January 18, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian filmmaker and writer .

Life

After breaking off his apprenticeship as a chemographer, Ernst Josef Lauscher was active as a professional musician in the fields of pop music and jazz . In addition, he carried out various activities, including a. in the packaging printing industry, and worked in painting and graphics . From 1969 to 1975 he studied at film schools in Prague and Vienna; He graduated with a directing diploma from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 1981 he shot a headstand with Christoph Waltz in the leading role . From the 1980s, Lauscher worked as a director , screenwriter and actor in cinema and television films , including numerous episodes of the television series Tatort , Ein Fall für Zwei and Balko . He has also published a volume of short stories and three novels . He lives in Vienna today.
