Ernst Ludwig Krantz

Ernst Ludwig Krantz (born December 21, 1851 in Werdenberg near Heydekrug , Prussian Lithuania , † June 2, 1918 in Leipzig ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Krantz was the son of the lawyer and parliamentarian Ernst Gottlieb Krantz . He studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg , the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . In 1870 he became a member of the free country team Littuania. In 1894 he was one of the Lithuanians who joined the SC zu Königsberg as the new Corps Littuania . The Prussian Ernst Ludwig Krantz received his doctorate and sworn in as a trainee lawyer at the Tilsit District Court in 1873. In 1877 he became a court assessor. In 1878 he became a lawyer and notary in Mohrungen . From 1879 worked in Braunsberg . In 1883 he came to Königsberg as a lawyer and was admitted to the regional court. In 1885 he was also admitted to the bar. In 1895 he was admitted to the Reichsgericht as a lawyer . In 1902 he came to the Imperial Court. It was the first case that a person from the legal profession was directly appointed to the Reichsgericht. He was active in the 4th Civil Senate .

From 1894 to 1898 Krantz sat as a member of the constituency of Königsberg 3 (city and district of Königsberg, Fischhausen) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .
