Ernst Richard von Tschirschky and Bögendorff (born October 25, 1822 in Brieg , Silesia ; † December 2, 1904 in Dresden ) was a German officer who was in command of the 92nd Infantry Regiment from 1873 to 1874 .

Life

Von Tschirschky and Bögendorff joined the 29th Infantry Regiment on March 13, 1840 , where he was appointed Portepee Ensign on July 18, 1842 and Second Lieutenant on October 27, 1842 . On September 1, 1845 he moved to the 7th Infantry Regiment and took part in the campaign in Posen in 1848 . On May 5, 1855 he was appointed Premier-Lieutenant and on September 18, 1858 to the adjutant of the 22nd Infantry Brigade, before he became captain on March 12, 1852 and on July 1, 1860 adjutant of the 11th Division . He became company commander in the 2nd Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 47 on September 10, 1861 and took part in 1866War against Austria , where on October 30th of that year he became major and regular staff officer of Infantry Regiment No. 82 . On April 2, 1868 he became the commander of the Fusilier Battalion and was decorated with the Iron Cross 1st Class for his service in the war against France in 1870/71 . During the war he was wounded on August 6, 1870 near Wörth and on August 18, 1871 was appointed lieutenant colonel . After his promotion to colonel on March 22, 1873 , he was commandant of the Duke Braunschweig Infantry Regiment No. 92 from March 31, 1873 to April 15, 1874.
