Ernst Sieverts (architect)
Ernst "Mucki" Sieverts (born December 8, 1924 in Chemnitz ; † June 25, 2018 ) was a German architect .
Life
Ernst Sieverts studied architecture from 1946 to 1950 at the TH Braunschweig and the University of Cambridge . In 1949 he passed the English interpreting exam. In 1954 he started his research project “Spatial connections and spatial penetrations in architecture. A contribution to building design "to the Dr.-Ing. PhD.
He had been working in Friedrich Wilhelm Kraemer 's architectural office since 1950 . With Günther Pfennig and Friedrich Wilhelm Kraemer he ran the office partnerships of Prof. Kraemer - Pfennig - Sieverts (short KPS ) from 1960 to 1974 , with Kraemer and other partners 1975 co-founder (until 1985) Prof. Kraemer Sieverts & Partner (short KSP ). His offices in Braunschweig and Cologne employed over 170 people in the early 1960s and received numerous prizes and awards.
He was a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA) , the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning (DASL) , and the Architects and Engineers Association (AIV) .
