Ersin Mehmedović (born May 10, 1981 in Novi Pazar , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian football player .

Career

Although coming from the south of Serbia, Mehmedović's career began in Slovenia at MND Tabor Sežana , where he came to play in the Prva Liga , the country's top division, in the 2000/01 season . At the end of the season he moved back to his Serbian homeland to FK Remont Čačak .

In the summer of 2002 Mehmedović got the opportunity to move abroad, where he joined the Belgian club KAA Gent . There he was only rarely used in the first team that played in the Jupiler League , so that he was loaned to KV Mechelen in the 2003/04 season , which was represented in the third highest division, the Derde class . Even after his return, his situation did not improve. In the winter break of 2004/05 he left Belgium and moved to Romania to FCU Politehnica Timișoara in Divizia A (now Liga 1 ).

After he came in the second half of the 2004/05 season only one use, he was loaned to the league rivals Național Bucharest in the following season . After returning to Timișoara he was used there more often, but could not establish himself as a regular player.

In summer 2007 Mehmedović left the club and moved to Unirea Urziceni . With his new club he was able to win the Romanian championship at the end of the 2008/09 season . In December 2010, he dissolved his contract in Urziceni and hired in February 2011 at the league rivals Dinamo Bucharest . There he could not prevail in the second half of the 2010/11 season and only made four appearances, but was able to score his first goal for Dinamo on April 12, 2011 against his former club from Urziceni. In the summer of 2011, his contract was not renewed, after a long search for a club, he came to FK Taras in 2012. With the Kazakhs, he finished the 2012 season in fourth place and narrowly missed qualifying for the Europa League . In the following season things went worse and he and his team had to fight to stay in class until the end.

At the beginning of 2014 Mehmedović left Kazakhstan again and moved to FK Novi Pazar in Serbia. In summer 2014 he joined the Albanian association KS Vllaznia Shkodra . His contract was terminated at the beginning of 2015. Since he was without a club in the following years, Mehmedović's career as an active professional footballer can be assumed.
