Erwin Dunst

Erwin Dunst (born January 14, 1929 - January 10, 2019 ) was a German trade unionist and social functionary .

Life

Erwin Dunst was "all his life [...] a trade unionist with full conviction". Politically, he worked for many years as the head of the Lower Saxony-Bremen state association of the German Employees' Union (DAG) and as chairman of the DAG's educational organization (from which today's Deutsche Anarbeiter-Akademie GmbH (DAA) emerged). As such, he held various mandates for employees of VGH Insurance for eighteen years , from 1979 to 1985 and again from December 1989 as an employee representative on the supervisory board of the Provinzial Lebensversicherung Hannover . From 1984 to 1997 he was a member of the supervisory board of the Landschaftliche Brandkasse Hannover .

At times parallel to his other offices, Dunst volunteered from 1986 to 1997 as a member of the Broadcasting Council of North German Broadcasting (NDR), and from 1992 to 1997 as chairman of the Lower Saxony State Broadcasting Council .

Erwin Dunst was for many years a member of the Social Association Germany (SoVD), local association Groß Buchholz / Bothfeld and a member of the district board of Hanover City.

According to the family's obituary notice, Dunst's funeral is to take place in the Bothfeld district cemetery .
