The Erzbistum korhogo ( latin Archidioecesis Korhogoensis ) is in the Ivory Coast preferred Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Korhogo . It includes the departments of Boundiali , Korhogo and Tengrela in the region Savanes .
history
Pope Paul VI founded with the Apostolic Constitution Christi mandatum on October 15, 1971 the Diocese of Korhogo from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Katiola , which was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Abidjan as a suffragan diocese.
With the bull Ad aptius providendum on December 19, 1994 it was raised to the rank of metropolitan diocese and lost part of its territory in favor of the establishment of the diocese of Odienné .
