Blazon : "Five awned golden ears of wheat in red , growing out of two silver , diagonally crossed dead bones ."
Founding of the coat of arms: With this coat of arms, the Esbeck community takes over the symbols of its greatest son, Justus Gesenius (1601–1673), the famous superintendent general and excellent pulpit speaker in Hanover, who also made a name for himself as the author of a catechism and several hymns. His father was a pastor in Esbeck. The deep meaning of the coat of arms: "The fertility of the grain-bearing earth overcomes impermanence!" Is still contemporary today.
