The Eselsmühle (also Brückleinsmühle , Seemühle ) is a wasteland on the boundary of the Rüdenhausen market in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen .

Geographical location

The Eselsmühle is located in the extreme southwest of the Rüdenhausen municipality on the Gründleinsbach . In the north, along the brook, the powder mill can be found on the Rüdenhauser district, Rüdenhausen itself is in the northeast. To the east, the district merges into that of Castell . In the south, also on the Gründleinsbach, the district Dinkelmühle can be found with two unnamed lakes. In the west, the municipality of Wiesenbronn adjoins the Eselsmühle.

history

The donkey mill was first mentioned in a document in 1591 . However, it can be assumed that the mill is much older. The owner of the mill signed a contract with the municipality of Rüdenhausen in 1591. Until 1850 the mill was part of the parish and school district of Castell, before it came to Rüdenhausen. In 1944 the mill was stopped. Traditional names of the mill are: "Eßelmühl", "Brückleinsmühle", "Mühl zum steinen Prücklein" and "Seemühle".

Attractions

The mill building itself is classified as a monument of the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments. The complex consists of several buildings that are arranged around an inner courtyard. Buildings from the 19th century have been preserved, but they are on older foundations . In addition, the monument consists of several farm buildings and a barn .
