The Estádio António Coimbra da Mota is a football stadium in the Portuguese town of Estoril in the west of the capital Lisbon lying Council Cascais . It is the home of the GD Estoril Praia football club ( Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia ).
The stadium opened on January 1, 1939 and has a capacity of 8,000. During the European Football Championship in 2004 , the stadium served as a training facility for the Swedish national team . The Portuguese national rugby union team played two international matches against Ukraine and Uruguay. In June 2007 some games of the European Football Championship for the Deaf , the Eurodeaf 2007 , took place.
The final of the Cascais County Football Cup (Taça de Cascais) is played annually in the stadium. In addition, junior international matches take place there again and again.
In January 2018, Estoril Praia's home game against FC Porto was canceled for safety reasons after cracks became visible in the stands during the game.
