Ettore Campogalliani
Ettore Campogalliani (born September 30, 1903 in Monselice , † June 3, 1992 in Mantua ) was an Italian composer , musician and singing teacher .
Life
Campogalliani studied piano from 1921 and graduated from the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini . Then he studied from 1933 composition at the Conservatory of Parma . Finally, from 1940 he studied singing at the Piacenza Conservatory .
After a brief activity as a composer (including film music for the 1942 film Musica proibita directed by his uncle Carlo Campogalliani ) and as a pianist , he devoted himself to music lessons . He taught piano at the Liceo Musicale in Piacenza and singing at the Conservatories in Parma and Milan . He then taught vocal technique and interpretation at the La Scala opera school in Milan.
Campogalliani was the singing teacher of Renata Tebaldi , Renata Scotto , Mirella Freni , Ferruccio Furlanetto , Ruggero Raimondi , Luciano Pavarotti , Carlo Bergonzi , Gino Penno , Antonio Carangelo and Giuliano Bernardi .
In 1946 Ettore Campogalliani founded the Accademia Teatrale Francesco Campogalliani theater and drama academy in honor of his father Francesco .
