Chouday is a French municipality with 504 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Issoudun and the Canton of Issoudun (until 2015: Canton Issoudun-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Choudayens .

Chouday is about 33 kilometers southwest of Bourges and about 35 kilometers east-northeast of Châteauroux . Chouday is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Issoudun in the north and west, Saint-Ambroix in the east, Ségry in the south and south-east and Saint-Aubin in the south and south-west.
