Diou is a French municipality with 256 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre in the Region Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Issoudun and the Canton Levroux (until 2015: Canton Issoudun-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Divins .

geography

Diou is about 37 kilometers west-southwest of Bourges and about 39 kilometers northeast of Châteauroux . Diou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Reuilly in the north, Lazenay in the east and northeast, Migny in the east and southeast, Sainte-Lizaigne in the south and Paudy in the west.
