Brives is about 19 kilometers east-northeast of Châteauroux . On the outskirts, the Liennet river flows into the Théols . Brives is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thizay in the north, Meunet-Planches in the east and south-east, Vouillon in the south and Sainte-Fauste in the west.
