history

At the end of the 5th century AD, Saint-Phalier moved into a hermitage near Chabris, where he died in 525. In the 12th century Robert d'Arbrissel founded a nunnery in Chabris. The Archbishops of Bourges resided in the so-called Château de Bourges in Chabris. During the Huguenot Wars , the Saint-Phalier church was sacked by Huguenots under Admiral Gaspard II. De Coligny .
