Euan Burton (musician)

Euan Burton (* 1985 ) is a Scottish jazz - bassist ( bass , bass guitar ) and composer .

Live and act

Burton grew up in East Kilbride , where he started playing bass guitar when he was ten . After switching to jazz music, he played the double bass and studied at the Conservatory of Music in Birmingham. a. with Dave Holland , Ed Howard , Dave Douglas and Ari Hoenig . He also worked in various Scottish groups and performed with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra . At international level he played with Jonathan Kreisberg and in the Ari Hoenig Trio (with Gilad Hekselman ). In addition to jazz, he worked in folk, pop and rock music, a. a. with Camille O'Sullivan , Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain . He presented several albums under his own name, for which he wrote compositions, including the multi-part suite Occurrences .
