Eugène Dussous

Eugène Dussous was a French racing car driver .

Career

Dussous was active as a sports car racing driver in the late 1940s and 1950s. He drove his first international race at the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race in 1948 , which he was unable to finish as a partner of Jean de Montrémy .

Dussous was a works driver for the small French sports car manufacturer Monopole and was ninth in the 1948 12-hour race in Paris . During the first 24-hour race at Le Mans after the Second World War , which in 1949 took place Dussous was the first time in this long distance race at the start. Again de Montrémy was his partner and the two French came in twelfth overall on their Monopole Sport and won the racing class for racing vehicles between 0.7 and 1 liter displacement.

He competed at Le Mans five times in total; the 12th place in 1949 was his best result.
