Eugen Dietrich Graue (born October 22, 1922 in Bremen ; † August 20, 2006 ) was a German law scholar and university professor .

Eugen Dietrich Graue was the son of an overseas merchant. He did military service from 1940 to 1945. From 1946 to 1950 he studied history , law and modern Greek and South Slavic philology at the universities of Heidelberg and Munich . In 1948 he passed the first state examination in law. In 1957 he became a research assistant for comparative law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In 1962 he completed his habilitation with Eugen Ulmer with the thesis The defect-free delivery in the purchase of movable property for civil law , international private law and comparative law. and became a private lecturer at the University of Munich.

In 1964 he became a full professor for civil law, international private law, comparative law and legal philosophy at the law and political science faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . Gerhard Köbler and Dagmar Coester-Waltjen are among his students .

From 1964 to 1987 he was a judge at the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court .
