Eugene Inzaghi
Eugen Graf Inzaghi (born April 12, 1689 in Graz , † January 1, 1760 in Mariazell ) was a Styrian Benedictine and abbot of the St. Lambrecht monastery .
Life
Eugen Graf Inzaghi, son of the imperial treasurer Johann Philipp Inzaghi, entered the Styrian Benedictine monastery of St. Lambrecht in 1705. After studying and doing his doctorate in Rome , he taught theology at the home school and from 1733 was involved in the management of the monastery as prior . Elected abbot of St Lambrecht in 1737, he had the cast works built in Mariazell in 1742 , which supplied Empress Maria Theresa's army with cannons, and again obtained the annual salt allowance of 150 Fuder for the monastery. Several times he refused the bishopric he had been offered. He had the baroque prelate's hall, also known as the conclave , built in the monastery and acquired the lordship of Lind near Neumarkt. He died in Mariazell in 1760 and was buried there too.

Individual evidence
- ↑ Conclave because this room has always been used only for the election of abbots and this name is also used based on the conclave of the cardinals in Rome
