The Euro Touring Series (ETS) is a racing series for radio remote-controlled model cars . It is one of the most important series in Europe and is carried out over the turn of the year. Over 300 starters in the three classes regularly compete in the races. This series has been organized by Uwe Rheinard and Scotty Ernst since 2008. It is the oldest among its sister series, the Euro Offroad Series (EOS) and the Euro Nitro Series (ENS).
Currently there are the Modified , Pro Stock and Formula classes . All of these vehicles are 1:10 scale and powered by electric motors. With the exception of the modified class, standard engines are mandatory. There are also standard tires in all classes.
The vehicles in Modified and Pro Stock have stylized touring car bodies. In the Formula class, on the other hand, the optical role models are Formula 1 cars.
technology
The races will only be held with 1:10 electric models. All-wheel-drive touring cars (Modified and Pro Stock) and formula cars are used. At the beginning of the series there was also a touring car hobby class. From the 2011/12 season, this was replaced by the formula class. From the 2018/19 season, another class for touring cars with 17.5 turn stock engines was introduced.
In order to ensure equal opportunities, standard tires from a manufacturer are also specified in regulations.
