history

The journal European Security & Technology was established in 2012 by the merger of the two magazines European Security (1952-1975 military customer , 1976-1990 European defense customer , 1983 union with the Working Group of Defense Research published Wehrwissenschaftliches Rundschau to European defense customer - Military Scientific Rundschau ) and Strategy & Technology (until 2004 soldier and technology ). The editorial offices were then merged. The two oldest security policy and defense technology magazines thus merged.

European Security was established in 1952. She focused on security issues. Strategy and Technology was founded in 1958 as a troop magazine of the Bundeswehr and publishing magazine, specialist body for technology in the Bundeswehr and special body for technology and equipment in the Warsaw Pact . After security policy issues took on an ever greater place in addition to the actual core area of the magazine, defense technology, the 01/2005 issue was renamed Strategy and Technology until it finally merged with European Security in 2012 .
