The 1979 European elections in the Netherlands took place on June 7, 1979. The Dutch elected 25 of the 410 members of the European Parliament .

Result

The strongest party was the Christian Democratic CDA ahead of the Social Democratic PvdA. In addition, the two liberal parties VVD and D66 were able to win seats.
