Gains and losses
The 2004 European elections in the Netherlands took place on June 10, 2004 as part of the EU-wide election of the European Parliament . The Dutch elected 27 of the 732 members of the European Parliament.
Result
With the exception of the social democratic PvdA and the socialist SP, all Dutch parties represented in the European Parliament suffered significant or minor losses. In addition, the new Europa Transparant party entered the European Parliament with two seats.
