European CFL Draft 2019

The European CFL Draft in 2019 was the first European CFL Draft Canadian Canadian Football -Liga Canadian Football League (CFL). It took place on April 11, 2019 and consisted of a round in which all nine CFL teams selected a European player. It was the second entry draft for global players after the CFL – LFA Draft in January 2019 . Only European players who had previously participated in the CFL Combine were eligible. 18 players from five countries could be chosen: Denmark (2), Germany (6), Finland (4), France (4), Italy (2). Four selected players came from France, three from Germany and one each from Italy and Finland. Five selected players played in the German Football League .

The order of selection was determined in the form of a weighted lottery. The worst team of the previous season had the best chance of being drawn (9/45) and the best the lowest (1/45).
