Eva Maria Enders (* 1963 in Koblenz ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

Enders studied from 1985 to 1992 at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach and graduated as a qualified textile and clothing engineer and textile designer. She wrote her diploma thesis on the painter Karl Otto Götz and Tachism . In 1994 she took part in an artist exchange in China . She runs a workshop in Koblenz, which also hosts exhibitions and events, such as an exhibition by Chinese art students in 2009 as part of the Thuringian China Days.

Since 1991 she has been exhibiting in galleries, mainly in Rhineland-Palatinate , Thuringia and China. The Middle Rhine Museum in Koblenz showed her works in group exhibitions from 1998. In 2003 she received a solo exhibition there entitled Farbräume , for which a catalog with texts by Anna-Maria Ehrmann-Schindlbeck and Mario Kramp was published. “An important initial spark for her path is the encounter with KO Götz. Eva Maria Ender's position is refreshingly timeless and untouched by rapidly passing fads in art or even the fast pace of novelty guided solely by the medium. She consciously places herself in the great and centuries-old tradition of painting and proves its vitality. "(Anna-Maria Ehrmann-Schindlbeck)

In 2002 Enders and her artist colleague Aloys Rump developed and designed the exhibition series NEXUS - Dialogue with Old Masters in the Middle Rhine Museum, Koblenz, for the 10th anniversary of the ark working group Rhineland-Palatinate Artists eV.

This is followed in 2014/2015 NEXUS II - contemporaries in dialogue with the collection of the Middle Rhine Museum and in 2017 NEXUS III - contemporary artists in dialogue with the history and layout of the Ehrenbreitstein fortress.

From 2009 to 2013 she went on study trips to Indonesia and Morocco , where she also had exhibitions. As merchandising for the Federal Garden Show 2011 in Koblenz, she designed a kind of edition of a glass and tableware series.

In 2014, her painting Nexus I , an adaptation of the painting Coronation of Mary by the Koblenz church painter Joseph Anton Nikolaus Settegast, was included in the collection of modern religious art in the Vatican Museums as one of the few modern paintings. Enders presented the work to Pope Francis in Rome on November 12, 2014 after a general audience .
