Evangelical Reformed regional church in both Appenzell
The Evangelical Reformed Church in both Appenzell is the Reformed Church in the cantons of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Appenzell Innerrhoden . She is a member of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Switzerland . The task of the regional church is to promote the unity of the parishes of the two Appenzell and ecumenical cooperation.

Parishes
The Appenzell Church consists of twenty parishes. These are independent corporations under public law. The highest organ of the parishes are the voters, who elect the church council as the executive organ.
Regional church
The synod (church parliament) is the legislative organ of the regional church. Its members are elected by the parishes. The synod in turn elects the church council, which conducts the affairs of the regional church and is responsible for implementing the resolutions. The Appenzell Church Council has five members and is chaired by Koni Bruderer from Heiden.
