history
The Protestant Church of Geneva was founded with the adoption of the Reformation in Geneva on May 21, 1536. The original leadership of the church by the assembly of pastors was successively replaced between 1842 and 1903 by the parish assemblies.
structure
The regional church is organized in seven regions: Arve et Lac, Center-Ville, Salève, Plateau-Champagne, Rhône-Mandement and Jura-Lac, which comprise a total of 31 parishes. The three of them extend over the entire area of the cantonal church: the deaf congregation, the ecumenical congregation of people with a disability and their families, and the German-speaking congregation.
