The Evangelical-Reformed Regional Church of the Canton of Glarus is the regional church of the Evangelical - Reformed denomination , which is organized on the territory of the Canton of Glarus . It has its administrative headquarters in the canton capital of Glarus and is a member of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Switzerland .

Parishes

The regional church in Glarus comprises 13 parishes and two special parishes. As a result of the political amalgamation to only three congregations, there is also currently (as of 2012) the need on the part of the church to form pastoral communities or to clarify possible mergers.

In Glarus Süd , the parishes of Luchsingen , Betschwanden , Linthal and Braunwald merged on January 1, 2006 to form the new parish of Grosstal .

Church council and synod

The cantonal church council as the executive consists of 7 members, five of them lay people . The synod, which meets twice a year, represents the legislature and consists of a maximum of 50 community delegates.

The organ of publication is the magazine "Reformiert GL", which is sent monthly to all reformed households.
