Illustration prize for books for children and young people
The illustration prize for books for children and young people has been awarded every two years by the joint venture of Protestant journalism since 1992. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.
The award is given to publications from German-speaking countries with excellent illustrations in terms of both art and content. "They should stimulate the imagination, evoke inner images, give shape to visible or invisible reality and vividly support a Christian understanding of the world in the sense of justice, peace and the preservation of creation." The illustration prize is one of the numerous media prizes of the EKD .
