Ewa Dziedzic was born on June 16, 1980 in the Polish city ​​of Proszowice . She migrated to Austria in 1990, at the age of 10, and attended an upper-level secondary school in Vienna. She then studied journalism / philosophy and political science at the University of Vienna . The fields of study Philosophy and Political Science, she deepened within the framework of a doctoral program and doctorate finally to the doctor philosophiae (Dr. phil.). Professionally, she was then employed as a lecturer and research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Vienna. Since 2008 she has worked as a political advisor in the parliamentary club of the Greens. Political career

Dziedzic was initially involved in various NGOs and civil society initiatives before she started working in sub-organizations of the Greens in 2006. In November 2015, Ewa Dziedzic was nominated by the General Assembly of the Vienna Greens to succeed Marco Schreuder as a member of the Federal Council and was then sent to the Federal Council by the Vienna State Parliament and City Council in its first session after the 2015 state and municipal council elections in Vienna .

In the 2019 National Council election, she ran for the Vienna Greens in second place in the Vienna electoral district . After her move to the National Council on October 23, 2019 at the beginning of the XXVII. Marco Schreuder took over her mandate in the Federal Council during the legislative period .

Private

Dziedzic married her partner Anja Ernst on June 10, 2019 as part of EuroPride . It was the 100th same-sex wedding couple since January 1, 2019 in Vienna.
