Ezio Madonia (born August 7, 1966 in Albenga ) is a former Italian sprinter who specialized in the 100-meter run .

He achieved his most important international successes with the Italian 4 x 100 meter relay . He won bronze medals twice at European Athletics Championships. 1990 in Split together with Mario Longo , Sandro Floris and Stefano Tilli in 38.39 s behind France (37.79 s) and Great Britain (37.98 s) and in 1994 in Helsinki together with Domenico Nettis , Giorgio Marras , Sandro Floris in 38 .99 s behind France (38.57 s) and Ukraine (38.98 s). At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 , Madonia also won the bronze medal together with Giovanni Puggioni , Angelo Cipolloni and Sandro Floris. The Italian quartet finished behind Canada (38.31 s) and Australia (38.50 s) in 39.07 s. Madonia had further finals in major international events with the relay at the World Athletics Championships in 1987 (seventh place), at the 1988 Olympic Games (fifth) and at the 1991 World Athletics Championships (fifth).

As a single starter, Madonia achieved his best results at the Mediterranean Games . In the 100-meter run, he finished second in 1987 and won in 1991. Over the same distance, he reached the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships and the quarter-finals at the 1996 Olympic Games . In addition, he was fourth in the 60-meter run at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1992 . He won the Italian 100-meter championships twice (1991, 1993) and once in the 60 m (1992).

Ezio Madonia is 1.75 m tall and had a competition weight of 78 kg.
