Félix Lázaro Martínez SchP (born March 2, 1936 in Logroño ) is a Spanish religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Ponce .

Life

Félix Lázaro Martinez joined the religious order of the Piarists and was ordained a priest on April 9, 1961 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Ponce on March 20, 2002 . He was ordained episcopate on April 25th of the same year by the Bishop of Ponce, Ricardo Antonio Suriñach Carreras ; Co- consecrators were Timothy Paul Andrew Broglio , Apostolic Nuncio to the Dominican Republic and Apostolic Delegate to Puerto Rico , and Iñaki Mallona Txertudi CP , Bishop of Arecibo .

When Ricardo Antonio Suriñach Carreras retired , he succeeded him on June 11, 2003 as Bishop of Ponce.

On December 22, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
