F1 2017 is a racing game developed by Codemasters . It is the ninth game in the series and was released on August 25, 2017 for PlayStation 4 , Xbox One and Windows . The game is based on the 2017 Formula 1 season and contains all 20 tracks, 20 drivers and all teams.

Features

In contrast to its predecessor, the game has been equipped with an extended team management mode , with which the player has greater control over the development of his team.

There is a Formula One ESports Series in which the game is used as the official platform.

In addition to the current Formula 1 cars, the game also contains historic Formula 1 cars from the years 1988 to 2010. Another innovation is the possibility for players to design their own helmets.

The game was generally well received, with British motorsport magazine Autosport praising it for expanding and improving the features introduced in F1 2016 . The Daily Telegraph also praised the game and named it one of Codemaster's best games.

F1 2017 reached number two on the UK sales charts, behind Uncharted: The Lost Legacy . It also reached # 4 on the sales charts in New Zealand and # 2 in Australia.

The game was nominated in the Best Racing Game category at the IGN Best of 2017 Awards.
