FA Women's Super League 2018/19

The FA Women's Super League 2019/20 is the tenth edition of the highest English women's football league FA WSL . Since the “Spring Series” called FA Women's Super League 2017 is not counted, it is considered the ninth season. It is the second event after the reorganization of the four top English leagues in women's football . It is organized under the umbrella of the Football Association . The season started in September 2019 and is expected to run until May 2020.

Compared to the 2018/19 season , the league has now been increased by one to twelve teams. In addition, there was the master and runner-up of the FA Women's Championship of the preseason. The team from Yeovil Town was relegated .

The champions and runners-up qualify for the 2020/21 UEFA Women's Champions League .

After February 23, 2020, the league was suspended as the national team competed in the SheBelieves Cup 2020 . It was supposed to continue on March 22nd, but all March games were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . After further postponements, the season was canceled on May 25, 2020. On June 5, Chelsea's second-placed team was declared champions due to the better quotient, Chelsea and Manchester City were designated as England's participants in the 2020/21 Champions League and Liverpool were declared relegated.
