FA WSL Continental Tires Cup
The The FA WSL Continental Tires Cup (also The FA WSL Continental Cup ) is introduced with the establishment of WSL in 2011 football cup competition of the highest British women's football league. It is named after the sponsor Continental Tires and is held under the umbrella of the British football association The Football Association among the teams of the Women's Super League .
mode
The participants are grouped together. The group stage is followed by a quarter-final (since 2015), a semi-final and a final. The final game is usually the last game of the women's football season.
Attendees
Since the introduction of a second league level with ten teams in the top division, the number of participants has grown from eight to 18.
Events
2015
Compared to the previous year, a quarter-final round was introduced. This is achieved by the two group best of the three groups and two other teams with the best points. The first game took place on July 21, 2015 after the break made for the 2015 Women's World Cup .

After the WSL was expanded to include a second level in 2014 , the trophy was also extended to this division. With 18 teams it was played in three groups. the respective group winner and the best runner-up took part in the semi-finals.
