Career

Kim Little began her career with the Buchan Girls before moving to Edinburgh for the Hibernian Edinburgh LFC . After two seasons in the Scottish Women's Premier League , Little moved to England as the current national player for the Arsenal Ladies . There she won numerous titles with the club, including the English championship in 2011 and 2012. In the 2009/10 UEFA Women's Champions League , she reached the quarter-finals with Arsenal, where they were eliminated from defending champions FCR 2001 Duisburg . With nine goals she was one of the three third best goalscorers in the competition. A year later they even made it to the semi-finals, where they were eliminated from eventual winners Olympique Lyon . The 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons also led to the semi-finals, where she scored the only goal for Arsenal in the two games against eventual winners VfL Wolfsburg . In 2013/14 , on the other hand , they were eliminated in the quarterfinals against league rivals Birmingham City LFC , but Little was only used in the sixteenth and sixteenth finals, where she scored five goals.

For the 2014 season, she moved to the North American National Women's Soccer League for Seattle Reign FC , where she initially signed a one-year contract with an option for another season. There she met her former coach Laura Harvey , who had already moved to Seattle from Arsenal LFC a year earlier. With Seattle Reign FC, she finished both the 2014 and 2015 seasons in first place, with her top scorer in 2014 with 16 goals. In both seasons she then reached the final in the NWSL Championship Play-offs, but lost this with her team against FC Kansas City . After the end of the US season, she moved to Australia on loan and became Australian champions with Melbourne City FC , to which she contributed nine goals as the second best goalscorer, u. a. one in a 4-1 Grand Final win over Sydney FC . She then returned to the United States, where she only scored six goals in the 2016 season and her team missed the playoffs as fifth in the league round.

After the end of the season, Little returned to Arsenal LFC, where she received a long-term contract. Due to an injury, she was only used in the second half of the 2017/18 season. The season ended in third place, missing the 2018/19 UEFA Women's Champions League . In 2018/19 Arsenal was able to win the championship again after seven years, to which Little contributed with eight goals in 14 games. Arsenal are now qualified for the 2019/20 UEFA Women's Champions League .

On May 15, she was nominated for the first Scottish women's World Cup squad. At the World Cup she was used in the three group games and scored the first goal in the third game against Argentina . Their team was able to increase to 3-0 in the second half, but then had to accept three goals, which meant that the Scottish women were eliminated.
