The FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim is a Czech football club from Vlašim . The club, which was previously active in the 2nd Czechoslovak league, has been playing in the Fotbalová národní liga (2nd Czech league) since 2009 .

Club history

The club was founded in 1927 as AFK Vlašim and only played on a regional level until the Second World War. In the 1952 season, the team under the name Zbrojovka Vlašim was second class. However, the second highest division at that time consisted of 12 relays of 12 teams, a total of 144 teams.

In the 1965/66 season, the club, now active as Spartak Vlašim, was promoted to the 2nd division, which consisted of a Czech and a Slovak group with 14 participants each. After a sixth place in the 1966/67 season, Spartak Vlašim played for a long time in the following year for promotion to the top Czechoslovak league, but only finished second behind VCHZ Pardubice due to the poorer goal quotient . In the same year Vlašim also made it into the semi-finals of the Czechoslovak Cup, in which the second division had to admit defeat to the first division Slovan Bratislava on their place with 2: 3.

For the 1969/70 season, the Czechoslovak Association introduced a nationwide second division comprising 16 teams, in the increased competition Spartak Vlašim could not prevail and rose from the end of the season. The team returned to the second division in the summer of 1974, when the club, Blanické strojírny , course BS , also got a new sponsoring company . As a climber, Spartak BS Vlašim took third place. For the 1977/78 season, the single-track nationwide 2nd league became a league with three seasons of 16 teams. Vlašim won the season A sovereign with five points ahead of UD Příbram, the promotion did not mean, however, because it was a qualification over two rounds. First, Vlašim defeated the winner of season B, VP Frýdek-Místek, in two games (1: 1 and 1: 0) . In the final for a place in the first division, however, the team failed at the Slovak representative VSS Košice with 1: 4 and 1: 2. Then it turned out, however, that Vlašim officials wanted to take illicit influence on the games against Frýdek-Místek and Vlašim had to be relegated. The team managed to get promoted again without any major difficulties, but they could only stay in the 2nd division for a year.

This was followed by a slow but steady decline in football in Vlašim, from Spartak BS in 1993 first FC BS and then in 1994 FC Agrox Vlašim. Between 1999 and 2004 the club was only sixth class as FC Vlašim, before being promoted to fifth class Krajský přebor. In 2006, the FC Vlašim merged with the plays in the fourth division FK Graffin Divize Kácov 17th kilometers away Kácov . The newly formed FC Graffin Vlašim immediately achieved promotion to the ČFL and in 2009 promotion to the 2nd division. There Vlašim finished seventh in the first season after a 29-year break.

At the beginning of 2016, after the entry of the local ammunition manufacturer Sellier & Bellot , the club was renamed FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim.
