history

In 1998, students from the German School in Valencia formed the German Sports Club (DSV) Colegio Alemán , which rose to the first Spanish league in 2007. In 2009 this team was incorporated into Valencia CF as a new club section. On September 6, 2009, Valencia played the opening game of the 2009/10 championship season against local rivals Levante UD in the first classic Valencia derby in the history of women's football, which they lost 2-0. In 2015, Valencia lost 2-1 in the Copa de la Reina final against Sporting Huelva .
