The 2010/11 season was the first regular season of the newly formed Federal Hockey League (FHL). The six teams should each complete 60 matches in the regular season . However, it was decided by the league leadership that the regular season should end in February 2011. The teams played between 35 and 47 matches. Due to the relocation of the Broome County Barons from Chenango , New York to Cape Cod , Massachusetts , this franchise ultimately had the fewest meetings of all teams. Then the champions were played in the playoffs. TheAkwesasne Warriors prevailed against the New York Aviators in the finals and won the Commissioner's Cup.
