Fabian Spiess (born February 22, 1994 in Wesel ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Fabian Spiess switched to the youth of the English third division club Notts County on September 29, 2010 , after he was discovered in 2008 by team manager Mick Leonard in Dubai . There he immediately proved to be a highly talented goalkeeper with an impressive presence in the first year and was therefore compared with the national goalkeeper Joe Hart . In the summer of 2011 he then signed a professional contract until the end of June 2013, but was only the third goalkeeper. In October 2011 he was loaned to the seventh division club FC Lewes until the end of 2011 . There he was used twice before injuring himself while training with Notts County in late November. On March 1, 2012 he was loaned to the sixth division Corby Town for a month . There he came to five missions. At the end of March 2012 it became known that Spiess had already been observed by scouts from several top division clubs . Among them were scouts from renowned clubs such as Manchester United , Manchester City , Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur . After his return to Notts County, Spiess came on May 5, 2012, the 46th matchday of Football League One 2011/12 , in the home game against Colchester United (4-1) for his first professional appearance, when he played in the 74th minute for the First goalkeeper Stuart Nelson was substituted on.

Private

Fabian Spiess was born in Wesel . His parents emigrated to Dubai with him when he was three years old. After five years in Dubai, he moved with his parents to Madrid and in 2004 to Málaga .
