Fabrizio Bentivoglio (born January 4, 1957 in Milan ) is an Italian actor .

Life

Bentivoglio was a junior player for the football club Inter Milan . At the same time he attended the school of the "Piccolo Teatro" in his hometown, where he made his debut in Shakespeare's Timon of Athens under the director Carlo Rivolta . In the following years he was a partner of u. a. Romolo Valli , Giorgio De Lullo and Mario Scaccia . 1979 also began his cinema career, which he intensified only ten years later - also due to the encounter with Gabriele Salvatores , who cast him in several films. As a representative of a sometimes desperate, but also ironic generation, he played in several important and successful films of the 1990s. For his performance in Un'anima divisa he received the Coppa Volpi at the Venice Film Festival . In 1996 and 2000 he was able to repeat this success. In 1997 and 1999 he won a David di Donatello each , and was nominated four more times; six nominations for a silver ribbon have so far remained without a profit.
