criticism
“Little of the complex content of Eco's novel shines through in the adaptation; The series largely reduces the original to the crime plot and does not manage to give it the necessary suspense. A relatively pale leading actor and an implementation of the medieval world that often seems sterile despite the production effort also limit the enjoyment of the series. Extremely heavy on dialogue, conspicuously brittle and without any artistic added value, it babbles for eight episodes. "
