The Gmina Kamienica is a rural community ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Limanowski in the Polish Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It has an area of ​​32.64 km² on which 7862 people live (June 30, 2019). Its seat is in the village of Kamienica .

The municipality is located in the Beskid Island (Polish Beskid Wyspowy). 32% of their area is used for agriculture, 64% is forest. Neighboring communities are the rural communities Dobra , Łącko , Łukowica , Mszana Dolna , Niedźwiedź , Nowy Targ , Ochotnica Dolna and Słopnice .

Watercourses in the municipality are the Kamienica Gorczańska (also Kamienica ) and the Głębieniec potok, which form the Wodospad Spad (2.2 meters) and Wodospad Głębieniec waterfalls near Szczawa .
