The Gmina Łukowica is a rural municipality in the powiat Limanowski in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship . Your seat is the village of the same name with about 2150 inhabitants.

geography

The municipality is located in the Sandez Basin in the south of Malopolska . In the east are the Lower Beskids , south the Sandets Beskids . The state border with Slovakia runs about 40 kilometers south of the capital . The Łukowica flows through the village and flows into the Dunajec . The region belongs to the catchment area of the Vistula .

history

After the war ended, the village belonged to the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 , and then to the Lesser Poland Voivodeship .
