Przyszowa is a town with a mayor's office of the municipality Łukowica in limanowa county of Malopolska province in Poland .
geography
The place lies at the upper course of the brook Słomka, a left tributary of the Dunajec , in the island Beskids . The neighboring towns are Łukowica in the south, Roztoka in the southwest, Siekierczyna in the west, Kanina in the north, Wysokie in the northeast, Długołęka-Świerkla in the east, and Stronie in the southeast.
history
In Przyszowa there was a Slavic rampart and a small castle of the Wierzbięta family with the coat of arms Janina before it was first mentioned as the Prissowa parish in the Peterspfennigregister of the Krakow diocese from the years 1325 to 1327. The possessive name is derived from the personal name Przysz (= Przybysław).
Politically and administratively, the private village belonged to the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ), Krakow Voivodeship , Sącz District. During the Reformation around 1600 it belonged to Andrzej Wierzbięta, a passionate follower of Arianism (see Polish Brothers ). In 1580 the Roman Catholic priest was evicted and the church was neglected. After the Wierzbięta family returned to the Catholic Church, a new wooden church was built in 1612.
After the First Partition of Poland, Przyszowa came to the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804).
In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Przyszowa came to Poland. This was interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II , during which it was part of the Krakow district in the Generalgouvernement .
From 1975 to 1998 Przyszowa belonged to the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship .
