The Gmina Tymbark is a rural community ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Limanowski in the Polish Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It has an area of ​​32.64 km², on which 6574 people live (June 30, 2019). Its seat is in the village of Tymbark ( German Tannenberg ).

The Łososina River and the Słopniczanka Stream flow through the rural community. 55% of the area is used for agriculture, 34% is forest.

From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship .
