Fahrafeld is a locality and cadastral municipality in the municipality of Kasten near Böheimkirchen in Lower Austria .
The place Fahrafeld first appeared in documents in 1180, when a Rudbertus de Vorchinvelde donated two vineyards near Zell to the Göttweig monastery. In 1248 the place can be found in the Lower Austrian document book in the spelling Vorichenveld and later it was called Fohrafeld . The current spelling did not establish itself until the 19th century.
