Former U.S. Marine John Chapman, known as the Falcon, was once fatal job for the U.S. Marines . But when he learns that his sister has fallen victim to a brutal crime in the favelas in Brazil, he goes into hiding in order to track down those responsible. His trail leads him to Rio de Janeiro . There he gets into fights in the slums with corrupt police officers, dangerous drug dealers and brutal yakuza . John becomes an unstoppable avenger that no one can stop.

The film was shot and produced primarily in the United States . The locations of La Perla and San Juan in Puerto Rico were used for the city of Rio de Janeiro . The budget for the film is estimated at approximately $ 4.5 million. The film made a box office profit of $ 11.774 million. Critics praised the film for a good fight choreography, but criticized the story that was brought up by the hair. The film did not hit theaters in Europe, but did so in Asia and most of North America. It was released in theaters on November 27, 2014 in Kuwait .
